Help the Rev Sheldon Johnson Family
Donation protected
My name is Rev Scott Bradford, Senior Pastor of San Angelo First UMC and along with many others of my brother & sister clergy in the Rio Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church, I was greatly saddened by the news of the untimely deaths of Sharon (Orsak) Johnson and Victor Ray Johnson in a tragic car accident just after midnight on Monday, July 2. Sharon was the wife and Ray the son of my long-time friend and colleague, Rev. Sheldon Johnson.
Rev. Sheldon Johnson has served the Rio Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1988, serving churches in McCamey, Smithville (where he met his wife, Sharon, and married in 1994), Brady, Kingsville First, Lockhart, El Campo and Goldthwaite. Sheldon is known and loved by so very many across the state of Texas as well as in other Conferences, and even has friends in such far away places as Singapore where he attended the World Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1991.
Sheldon also worked over several decades in both the Emmaus and Chrysalis Community and through that ministry touched countless lives.
Sheldon is currently in ICU at Seton Medical Center Williamson, Round Rock, TX. He was just beginning a new journey in his ministry as he was to begin retirement July 1 just before the accident occurred.
Also injured in the crash was Sharon's sister, Sherryl (TK) Orsak, of Smithville, TX. TK is also receiving medical care at Seton in Round Rock.
Doctors now estimate it will be at least a year before Sheldon will be fully recuperated. Due to Sheldon and TK's ongoing medical expenses, I would invite you to join me and make a donation to this fund. All monies will be used to help Sheldon and TK get back on their feet.
