7/2/2025 UPDATE: We have made tremendous progress over the last few weeks and the family is doing well given the circumstances. However, we are in need of additional support. The family will be moving into three separate apartments, so we will be furnishing and filling three full apartments. The continued donations will be used to ensure the family has everything they need to start their new lives in their new places, full of love and hope, and filled with everything they need to truly make their houses, homes.

To know the Reszetucha family is to know genuine kindness, love, hospitality, and compassion. We are asking anyone who has known their generosity to help them in their time of greatest need. On Sunday, June 8th, their lifelong home in the city of Buffalo caught fire. They have lost everything, including three family dogs and two family cats.

Over the last decade, Linda and Alan Sr. have known more grief than anyone should have to endure. They have mourned the death of their daughter, helped their eldest grandson's family get back on their feet after dealing with their own house fire in 2018, fought through multiple serious health crises within their family and have been the primary housing and financial support to both their biological family members as well as their adopted children.

This fire has immediately displaced 7 adults, 1 child, 2 dogs and 6 cats, and their need is immense. The funds will go towards their initial needs of clothing, food, and other basic necessities, as well as future housing as Linda and Alan are seniors on a tightly fixed income; therefore this fire has truly put them in dire straights.
