Help the Reckinger's Overcome Their Battles

Hello Friends and Family,

It is in both disbelief and hope that we, the Luebke Family and Justin Dietrick, have started this fundraiser on behalf of Carol Reckinger and her family. There's a reason we call her "The Carol", and that is because without a shadow of a doubt--she has endured but conquered any obstacle thrown her way that was meant to slow her down. Despite suffering a brain aneurysm 10 years ago that left her without use of one side of her body, and made her unable to fully speak, she has battled through it in her own way and kept her adventurous and tenacious spirit. Still smiling, laughing and singing her way through it. In February, Carol began experiencing excruciating abdominal pain, after many hospital and doctor visits she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. She is currently being cared for at the Estates of Delano, due to a recent fall and broken femur. Carol started chemotherapy this week, and we will use this page to post updates on her condition.

Additionally, her husband Paul, suffered an accident last week breaking his femur and underwent emergency surgery at North Memorial, and will be out of work for 12 weeks. I know one thing, tough times don't last, but tough people do. Please join us in rallying around the Reckinger's while both Carol and Paul face a road to recovery by way of donation to help cover basic household, living and medical expenses in donation, prayer, or sharing this information with our network of community and friends. We appreciate all of the love and support that we have received thus far.
