We are Velvet Daydream, an up and coming rock n roll band, out of Denver. We are currently on the way to release our 2nd LP, and tour around North America this year in support of that. Last month we made the unfortunate discovery that there is an AI band with our name Velvet Daydream. They were created by the same person behind the controversial Velvet Sundown, which was a big story in 2025. We’ve been having the issue of people confusing our songs with theirs, and people thinking that we are an AI band ourselves. We don’t have our name trademarked, and we don’t want to lose it to AI. The problem is that we found it costs $3,000 to trademark both Velvet Daydream, and The Velvet Daydream. This is near impossible as we have to budget around album promotion, vinyl record ordering, and the cost of tour right now. We are completely self funded, and managed, so we’re trying our absolute best to steer this ship, but it’s hard to wrap our heads around how to pay for all of this. Help us make a stand against AI!
