Help the Read More Project for Wesley Girls JSS

Hi, my name is Blen Abamecha. My classmates and I are participating in a Pan-African Leadership & Cultural Studies at CU Boulder where we will be traveling to Accra & Cape Coast, Ghana in May 2022. We are fundraising to buy books with good illustrations and suitable for Kindergarten and the lower primary students at Wesley Girls Junior Secondary School JSS in Cape Coast, Ghana. The age range for which we are trying to donate books to is 4 to 9 years old and it is an all-girls school. Our goal is to take these books to these students to help more children discover their love and joy for reading. Unfortunately, the library created a few years ago by our professor Awon Atuire and others was destroyed in a rainstorm along with useful resources like computers. With your help, we can acquire books that help them gain the skills they need to have literacy success. The books will mainly focus on empowerment, young women's health, and education.
