Please help the Redwood City 49ers 12U Pop Warner football team compete at a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at the Super Bowl National Championship in Orlando, Florida. The RC 49ers are from a humble community where most families are significantly economically challenged, yet that never stops them from giving their time and support to these kids. As a testament to the selflessness of this community, coaches don’t get paid, yet 5 out of the 7 coaches are young RC 49er alumni, without kids on the team, that value the life lessons and brotherhood that the RC 49ers provided during their formidable years. Please help this community that gives selflessly and help keep these kids’ dreams of being the next Tom Brady or Julian Edelman to come out of this program.
For this reason, we are looking to raise $50,000 on short notice to cover travel, Pop Warner-mandated lodging, and expenses for this group of focused and talented young football players and coaches for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a national championship. Please help them achieve this dream that, with your help, could become a reality.
At the start of every Pop Warner team's season, it is a nearly impossible dream and lofty goal to win the privilege of representing your region at the National Championship Super Bowl. The road to the Super Bowl is a season-long journey where the regular season seeds teams for the conference playoffs. Advancing through the playoff rounds is always challenging, and nothing is guaranteed. Should you come out victorious as conference champions, you earn the opportunity to play in the regional championship game.
The regional championship game took us to Reno to face the hometown favorites, The Reno Grizzleys. We came out on top and earned our chance to compete at National Championships in Florida. Because the likelihood of actually making it to Florida is so low, it is nearly impossible to prepare for the substantial expenses that must be incurred for cross-country travel and lodging for the team on a short (less than 2 weeks) notice. On top of that, most families are extremely economically challenged in providing the funds required for their player to compete for a chance at the National Title.
