My heart aches to share that my Uncle Johnny, Aunt Cindy, cousin Jessica and her two young daughters lost everything in the Marshal fires. Jessica and her two daughters (5 years old and 2 years old) were temporarily staying with my Uncle Johnny and Aunt Cindy, while they recovered from a life change that occurred earlier in 2021, only to lose everything they had in the devastating fires that raged through Louisville Colorado.

 

Although this GoFundMe will never be able to recover the loss of cherished family items, like pictures from this generation and several generations prior, or the countless family heirlooms that were lost, this GoFundMe will be able to help them get essentials, like food, clothes, sippy cups, toiletries, and so much more.

 

Usually in these hard times we rely on our family, specifically our own parents, to help pull us out of the hardship, but when your parents have also lost everything you need to seek help from others. My family finds it difficult to ask for help when they are usually the ones to be offering help, that is why I am asking for them.

 

The Ray family has been a part of Louisville since Alfonso Ray moved his family here and the Ray family has been active members in the community for 5 generations with Jessica’s kids being the 5th generation.

 

The recovery process is going to be long and difficult for the whole community and we know together we can rise above this tragedy, but in order to do this we will need assistance from those outside the devastation. I decided not to put a goal, because any donation is truly appreciated and will greatly help this wonderful family through these difficult times.
