We're The Raven Corps, a youth-led collective liberation movement and nonprofit organization, and we're doing something about Big Dairy's chokehold on US schools through our campaign, Operation: Mind Over Milk. We've been hard at work since January 2022, leading actions in our communities, organizing fellow youth activists, and putting pressure on lawmakers. But we're about to take our biggest, boldest action yet. On July 28th, Ravens from across the country will make the journey to our nation's capital to protest the oppressive dairy industry and demand that Congress increase access to student, animal, and climate-friendly plant milk in US schools by rallying behind the ADD SOY Act.

Every day in the United States, 30 million students rely upon the National School Lunch Program, where dairy milk is the ONLY reimbursable beverage option – even though upwards of 70% of students (the majority of whom are people of color) cannot digest lactose. The kicker? Most students don’t even WANT milk. A third of all milk served in US schools goes unopened into the trash every single day. That's 300 million dollars of taxpayer money - literally in the trash. Furthermore, 10 million cows in the dairy industry are forcibly impregnated every year and have their babies stolen shortly after birth so that humans can drink their milk instead. Big Dairy is also destroying our natural world: emitting greenhouse gases at an alarming rate and polluting land, water, and soil in local communities.
