Hi everyone! Ron and Cynthia Ratliff live in Chauvin, LA. Hurricanes Ida was devastating for them. After the storm, they still have no running water, or electricity and it may be 1-2 months before they get it restored where they live. Their house has damage to the roof, ceiling damage, broken windows, etc.
On top of all that, Ron is a full time fishing guide. The area he fishes has complete destruction and lots of hurricane debris in the waterways. The waterways that Ron has to use to take clients fishing are impassable at this time. The lodge where his clients stay, Sportmans Paradise, is also destroyed, and will not be rebuilt. This will hinder clients coming to the area to fish for the foreseeable future. Ron was just finishing his slow season, and about to get back to working full time. And now… no one knows when he will be able to get back to work.
