Hi my name is Alison Rasmussen I am Stan's daughter. As many of you already know we lost an amazing man my dad to covid and 4 heart attacks while fighting for his life. This all started on Friday he took my husband to urgent care and should have went in himself. My husband Matt is currently in the hospital with covid trying to keep his O2 normal. Friday night he was heavy breathing and as many of you know my dad is a stubborn ol farm boy. (His mother was a nurse and that's truly the only medical person he trusted) He went to bed Friday night telling me he just needed some rest and he's fine TRUST ME. Saturday I couldn't stop crying and he finally broke down and said I can't see you cry so if you want to take me take me now! We think it's because he knew and didn't want to die here on the farm like his mom and dad. He only wanted to go to urgent care so I took his advice (dad knew best... so I thought) and off to urgent care we went. We made it and they immediately called 911 and he still wanted to just go home and sleep it off. The wondful staff made me stay strong and get him to go in the ambulance. We ended up at Woodland ER in Brighton. They had him on cpap and had arrangements made to ambulance him to St. Joe's Ann Arbor. We were told to go home and in 90 min we could call and see if he made it. Well instead we got a call from his doctor that was working with him that he had coded and had 4 heart attacks and if they did anymore they would just be hurting him and he would be brain dead. We rushed up there not knowing we would walk into the room and find out our dad has passed away. My father has helped so many people over his 70 years on this earth. We are hoping and praying that these people see this and help our family at a HORRIBLE time like this. He had absolutely NOTHING set straight for us. No will. No life insurance. And everything was in his name including our farm and business. Please just know even $1 can add up and help us keep the farm and business afloat.
