Help the Rabiipour Family Recover from Helene’s Devastation
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out today on behalf of the Rabiipour family, who have been hit incredibly hard by the devastation of Helene. Their lives have been turned upside down, and they’re now facing a long and uncertain road to recovery.
- Two of their homes have been severely damaged by flooding and may need to be condemned, with little to no help from insurance since it’s flood-related; yet one will still have a mortgage owed despite not being able to live in the home.
- They've lost four of their cars and due to limited access, replacing them will be challenging.
- The family has also been temporarily displaced with no running water or electricity and they are unsure when or if they’ll be able to return to a livable home.
- Some family members anticipate income losses.
- Farm and livestock that the Rabiipour's relied on for sustainable living are now gone. And driveways and essential structures need to be completely rebuilt as well.
Ultimately, this will all involve relocation and/or rebuilding of the lives of 9+ family members.
The Rabiipour family is incredibly dear to us! They’re the kind of people who are always there when others need a helping hand, and now they’re in a position where they need some support to rebuild their lives. While the road ahead may be tough, we believe that with a little help, they can start to get back on their feet.
Any amount you can give will go a long way. Whether it’s helping them repair their homes, replace essentials, or cover everyday expenses, every contribution will make a meaningful difference in their journey to recovery. Alyson's husband, Nick, will receive all donations and will transfer them to her parents, Ursa and Saiid, and her sister, Elizabeth.
Thank you so much for your generosity—whether you’re able to donate or simply share this with others, your support means the world! Together, we can remind them they’re not alone during this difficult time!
With love and gratitude,
Friends of the Rabiipour's
