Help Lorraina Fight Cancer and Lupus
My name is Lorraina, and I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for support during the hardest battle of my life.
In June 2022, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After many rounds of treatment, I was relieved when things improved. Sadly, in April 2025, my cancer returned. My doctors now recommend a hysterectomy, but with my insurance changes, I need approval and financial help to move forward with this surgery that could save my life.
As if cancer wasn’t enough, my health struggles continued. After countless tests, hospital visits, and not being able to walk or get out of bed, I was finally diagnosed with Lupus just two weeks ago. On top of cancer, this is a lifelong battle I must now face. I also suffer from long COVID and chronic fatigue syndrome, which make everyday tasks nearly impossible.
Through it all, my family has been my strength. My oldest son works at McDonald’s while going to Ventura College, with dreams of joining the Air Force, but he puts those dreams aside to make sure I’m okay. My daughter is also working at McDonald’s while attending Ventura College for child development and waiting to get into nursing school. My younger daughters work hard, volunteer, and do all they can to support our family. Even my little ones collect cans and bottles, proudly telling everyone it’s “to help mommy get better.”
My husband works at Goodwill as a backroom associate, and his income goes toward keeping a roof over our heads, utilities, and food. But with medical bills, treatments, and now preparing for surgery, we simply cannot keep up.
Despite all the pain and struggles, my kids remind me every day that we are a team and we will fight through this together. I thank God for blessing me with such a loving family.
I am asking for your help—any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward my medical expenses, treatments, and supporting my family through this difficult journey.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting me and my family.
With gratitude,
Lorraina
