Help the Quinn’s Get Home to Oklahoma

Hi everybody and thank you for taking the time to visit this GoFundMe. My name is Jeremy and I’m starting this fund raiser to help my best friend Garrett fulfill his recent late-wife’s wish of returning their family to Oklahoma so Garrett can raise their 6 kids around family.

A small bit of background for those who may be new to this story. Just over 3 years ago, after Garrett and Amanda had fostered 6 siblings, Amanda was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer known as leiomyosarcoma. After countless appointments and meetings with specialist after specialist, they were blessed to find a doctor who could perform the 20 hour life saving surgery Amanda would need. The one caveat was that this doctor was located in New York. The Quinn’s wasted no time in packing up their family of 8 and moving to New Jersey to start anew. After 3 years of fighting like I’ve never seen anyone else fight, it was time for Amanda to join her mom in heaven.

Prior to her passing, Amanda and Garrett had extensive talks about whether or not to relocate back to Oklahoma after Amanda passed on and the two ultimately decided it would be best for all if they moved back to Oklahoma so that they could be surrounded by the love and support of family. So now Garrett, a single father of 6 kids, all of whom are brother and sister and were adopted out of the foster care system, is tasked with figuring out how to make it happen.

After speaking with Garrett last night about just how much it would cost to make Amanda’s last wish for her family a reality, I decided to start this to help him raise some money because believe it or not, picking up an entire house and moving it halfway across the country isn’t inexpensive.
