Hello Everyone,

My name is Diana Jensen. I am raising funds to help with funeral expenses for my neighbors and good friends, the Purcell Family of Greenport.

Diane Purcell, a lifetime Greenport resident, passed away peacefully last night.

Many of you know and remember Diane.

Diane was a familiar face, working at the Arcade Dept Store and then at IGA in Greenport for over 20 years as a cashier until health issue's forced her to stop working several years ago. As a cashier, I remember Diane, always pleasant and kind and enjoying a good chat with the customers who came through her line. As her neighbors of over 30 years, we remember her as a loving, dedicated wife and mother. A kind soul who loved to stop over and visit our family and who loved a good snuggle with our pup. Our family will greatly miss her.

Diane is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bernie Purcell, a longtime member of the Greenport Volunteer Fire Dept, her children, Christine, Ryan, Brendan and Chelsa. And two grandchildren, Marguerite and Wyatt.

Any donation is greatly appreciated as Diane's family could use our help as they make arrangements to lay Diane to rest and give her a proper service and memorial.
