Help the Pucuna Yasaca Family Rebuild After Fire

Donation protected
On Wednesday, May 7th, at 6 a.m., tragedy struck the Pucuna Yasaca family when a devastating house fire completely destroyed their home. The family has lost everything, and due to the severity of the fire, they were unable to salvage any of their belongings.

The Pucuna Yasaca family are immigrants from a rural part of Ecuador, who moved to the United States in search of a better life and more opportunities for their children: Blanca, a bright 14-year-old 8th grader, and Jonathan, her 4-year-old brother. After years of hard work and sacrifice, this fire has left them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The family is proud to be a part of the West Humboldt Park community.

Currently, the family is unhoused and staying with distant relatives as they search for a more stable living situation. Their immediate priority is securing a home and meeting their basic necessities, including clothing, food, and personal items, as they rebuild their lives from the ground up.

We are asking for your support to help them through this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in ensuring they can begin to heal and get back on their feet.
Please consider contributing to help the Pucuna Yasaca family through this heartbreaking ordeal. Your generosity and kindness will provide them with much-needed hope and stability as they navigate this challenging journey.
