Proletariat has been a part of the East Village for over 14 years. We've poured thousands of rare, new & unusual beers, watched regulars become friends, and friends become family. For a lot of you, Proletariat isn't just a bar, it's a spot that feels like yours. For us, it's always been home.

We're a small team of 3 who have run this place with our own hands for years, people who genuinely love what we do and the neighborhood we do it in.

SO, we now have the chance (nay, need) to purchase and save Proletariat, to secure its future amidst SO many of our other favorite craft beer haven closures over the years.

We just couldn’t let this become another.

We’re asking the beer community, and all of our beloved beer family for ANY help you can.

All donations go directly to the purchase of the name, rights, licensing, fees, and obviously the building out of a new space. (We had to set a goal on here, so decided on like half of what we’re actually going to need, heh.) But ANYTHING and everything is appreciated.
