Help the Potters Through Amanda's Car Accident
If you know Amanda and Logan Potter, then you know how absolutely caring and loyal they are to a fault, and they do not like asking for help-I had to force them to let me start this page for Amanda, because sometimes the people we care about need a little help, (no matter how stubborn they are!)-and I know they would do the same for me.
Amanda was in a single car accident on Friday afternoon (July 30th) near her home in Kentucky. Her car flipped multiple times leaving her with severe hand, arm, and pelvis injuries. If it wasn't for the first officer on site, she would have bled out right there. She was life-lighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center from the scene and went into surgery immediately to repair her injuries. Unfortunately, the damage to her hand was too extensive to save. With someone as creative and crafty as Amanda, you can only imagine how difficult it will be to transition back to her version of normal with one hand.
But-most importantly, Amanda still has her life, and her inspiring, positive spirits-with that being said, she still has a long road ahead of her! She has to take on life with a new perspective, and re-learn her crafts, potentially with a prosthetic hand. After multiple surgeries, future physical therapy and prosthetic costs, any bit that can be donated will alleviate some stress from these wonderful humans! Amanda Woosley Potter has been so strong and persevering through such an intense and life-altering situation, I cannot begin to say how proud I am of her. Please and thank you to anyone who contributes to the future of the Potters!
