“A week ago today my brother and I got the call that you may not make it through the night, that we had to fly out to you as soon as we could. No one ever wants to get that call about someone they love. One week later, and you’re still hanging on, by whatever means possible. I know the doctors say you can’t hear us, but I still believe you know we are here and rooting for you, and maybe a miracle.
My mom sent me this text just a few weeks before she got emitted. I told her I was worried about her and wanted her to get better soon since she wasn’t feeling well. Her reply was fitting. I know you don’t ever lose a fight. Keep fighting we all love you and continue to pray, as you’d want.” -Dakota Porto
To everyone who knows Josh and Dakota, you all know how compassionate, loving, and hardworking they are. Unfortunately, about a week ago these two amazing siblings received a devastating phone call that turned their world upside down. We all know how important it is to be with family, especially on the holidays, but we also know flights can get quite pricey, with that in mind please help us alleviate some of the travel/financial burdens for Josh and Dakota so they can continue to see their mom.
