Support the Ponomarev Family

On Tuesday December 28, the Ponomarev family home in Granby was lost to a house fire. Viktor Ponomarev, along with two of his grandchildren, were luckily able to evacuate the house in the early morning hours. Viktor was taken to the hospital in Boston for second degree skin burns and was discharged on January 1.  Since 2010, this home had been the nucleus of the family where Viktor and his late wife Galina and 7 children (and now their own children) gathered to celebrate and mourn the joys and sorrows of life. Anyone who knows this family or a single member of the family, knows their kindness, generosity, joy in the face of tragedy and great strength. Unfortunately, there was no insurance on the house. We are raising money to support the family during this difficult time, as they will no doubt be met with many expenses and challenges in the upcoming months. Anything you are able to offer will be of great help.
