Help the Ponder Family Rebuild Their Lives

They may kill me for doing this because they are just the type of people to never ask for help, especially monitarily, but I know how hard they have worked for all they have and just can’t see that get washed down the river.

I am setting this up with the hope to help my father and mother-in-law. Terry and Kim Ponder. They live in western North Carolina right on the North Toe river in Newland, North Carolina. This area was one of the most affected areas because it is surrounded by the river. They have lost almost everything… their house is still standing, but their whole property and structures are completely destroyed. I know so many have lost everything… it is truly devastating. My hope and prayer is to help raise the money they need to rebuild everything they have worked so hard for. My father in law is a retired lineman, but was working as an electrician for extra income. Because of the devastation he is unable to work… they aren’t even able to get out of where they are because the roads are completely washed away, and we are unable to get in to give any aid. They have banned together with their neighbors to take care of each other with food, water, and places to stay. Please, if you feel led at all to give, you will be giving to two of the most selfless, generous people I’ve ever met. They have taught me what true generosity looks like and are always helping others with their time and treasures. They have had a really hard year with the diagnosis of my mother in law battling breast cancer and my father in law also dealing with cancer… and now them losing everything is added to the mix . They were unable to have flood insurance so this is their livelihood .

I hope to give them a chance to receive a blessing back by doing this. All donations will be given directly to them. Please pray for all of the people affected by this storm. It is truly a tragedy. It is truly a miracle and by Gods abundant grace and faithfulness that they are all okay. Thank you to all who give and have given with your treasures and prayers. We love you
