Presley Plotner, a 14 year old Bakersfield Christian High School Student was in a Tragic Accident on Friday August 18th and is currently fighting for his Life at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera with his mom Danielle Lehr and family by his side.
Presley is one of the most intelligent, outgoing, witty and athletic teenagers we know. We are raising money to help ease the burden of financial responsibility as there will be many medical expenses to come.
Please keep the Plotner/Lehr/Denison Family in your prayers as no family should ever endure this kind of pain.
The latest update that was written by his Grandma Darlene Denison is as follows:
August 25th First of all I’m praising God for morning and for every minute I get to spend time with Presley. So grateful ❤️ I got a little sleep last night but it was still a rough night. His swelling number needs to be below 20 and it was as high as 35. It's 29 now. If it doesn't go down below 20 and stay there today then they are going to do surgery to remove a bone from the top of his skull to give the brain more room to swell. And leave like a baby soft spot temporarily and then put back when the swelling finally subsided. The neurosurgeon says she’s really good at that and it’s done a lot. Normally the swelling stops after 72 hours but can take up to 5 days. We are on day 6. Of course Presley is an overachiever and must want to set a record. But the wait has been scary and frustrating. I think the surgery is best because it could be devastating if there is no more room for swelling. Also they put him back under the sedation so I don't believe he's going to wake up until the swelling goes down and the sedation of course is removed. Maybe God is allowing the brain to heal more before he begins to use it. So today everything remains where it was yesterday as of this minute and Just praying for guidance and wisdom for the medical team and peace and
comfort for our family❤️
