Help the Pitroffs in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
Many friends of Jonathan and Sara Pitroff have asked how they can help the family in this critical and challenging time, so I'm starting this page to help support the myriad of needs that they will have over the next few months. The funds will be used for housing for Jonathan and Sara while Phineas is in the hospital, for food for them and their 5 other beautiful children who are at home with their Grandma, for the gas that will be needed for many trips back and forth from Denver, and lastly for the looming mountain of medical bills that will start rolling in soon.
On August 10th, at just over an hour old, baby Phineas was found to have dangerously low blood oxygen levels because of a heart defect called "Double Outlet Right Ventricle." His parents immediately took action to get him to Cheyenne, where he was then transferred to the specialty children's hospital in Aurora (Denver). Doctors have him stabilized while he awaits the first of several surgeries that he will need. It will be a long and difficult road for him (and them). At this point, it's not clear what complications he might have because of the lack of oxygen-rich blood to his brain, but it's fairly certain that he won't have a normal childhood and will always have to see cardiac specialists and be closely monitored.
For the next few months, he (and his parents) will have to be at the hospital- which presents a whole host of challenges for the entire family (Phineas has 5 older siblings). Sara and Jonathan will have to navigate Phineas' medical needs and the needs of their other kids- which won't be easy (or cheap).
Please pray for them- for healing for Phineas and strength for his whole family- and please also consider giving funds to help them bear up under the financial burden they are facing. Any amount helps, and is most appreciated. Thank you, friends!
