Help the pirate get back to the helm! Medical leave of absence from work is helpful for the body but not for surviving. Bills still akrewe. An eight-year-old hernia injury took me to the hospital the day before New Year’s Eve. After undergoing major abdominal surgery, I’ve been put on bedrest and told to not push myself. My family has been incredibly supportive, but after weeks of recovery, the reality of covering my monthly expenses without being able to work is setting in.
Normally, I handle all my outgoing costs, but right now, I’m focused on just the necessities: rent, electric, water, gas, groceries for myself and my kitties, car gas and payment, and basic household items like soap and paper towels. Even creature comforts like snacks would be appreciated as I recover. Every little bit truly helps keep things going until I’m back on my feet and able to work again here in my new home of New Orleans.
I’m so grateful for any support you can offer during this challenging time. Your kindness will help me get through recovery and back to normal life. Thank you for considering a donation and for being part of my journey to healing.
