Help The Pines of Perinton Fire Victims

This view from Whitney Road is what so many area residents see every day in their travels around town and a long-time landmark in Fairport. For the residents of The Pines of Perinton community, it is home. Families, singles, elderly, single-parents and kids...lots of kids…..40 kids! Yesterday, 65 residents had to flee their homes as a fire ripped through a building, destroying many units and leaving them with no belongings whatsoever. Imagine kids in their pajamas in the snow, watching their home burn. Many of these residents live paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make even a living wage or to make ends meet. They need our help! It is time for the Fairport and Rochester community to shine and step up to assist those who shop next to us at Wegmans, wave to us as they cross Whitney and whose children attend Fairport schools with our kids. Let's make this a real community effort and show them how much we care for them and are here in their time of dire need.

 

Proceeds will be distributed to the families in coordination with the Town of Perinton and the Red Cross. All donations go directly to the residents for badly needed clothing, personal goods, furniture and cash needed to recover.
