Help the Phillips family through their time of need

Hello, my name is Edna Leach, and I appreciate you taking a moment to read about this campaign. My friend Mike Phillips (aka DJ Mike), as well as his family, has had a challenging past month. He has experienced a couple seizures over 4 weeks ago. His doctors changed his meds and were hopeful a resolution was in place. The medication did prevent any additional seizures, but unfortunately he is having other side effects whether it be from the new meds or an underlying medical issue. He currently is at MGH being evaluated and having tests run done daily.

For those of you that don’t know Mike, he is a husband and father of 3. He is a hard-worker often working nights and weekends in addition to his “9-5” job to provide for his family. He is prideful and an extremely stubborn Italian man who was hesitant about this gofundme. Unfortunately what was originally hoped to be a few days out of work was extended to well over a month with no return date in sight. His wife, Lauren, is a school nurse, that beginning next week will be on summer break, with no income until school resumes in the fall. This campaign is to help the Phillips family make ends meet until Mike’s medical issues are resolved and he can return to work. I speak with this man daily and his only concern is getting back to work so he can pay his bills and put food on the table for his family. This is the last thing he should be concerned with.
