My name is Flemoi Gordon currently living in the UK, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my family(Brothers , sisters, nieces and nephews) in Savanna La Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica. Our community was devastated by Hurricane Melissa, one of the strongest storms ever to hit the island. Winds over 185 mph tore through homes, uprooted trees, and left countless families with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Two of my brothers’ homes were completely destroyed. They are currently staying at my mother’s home, but that house also suffered severe roof and ceiling damage, leaving everyone exposed to the elements. To make matters worse, they are running low on food, clean water, and essential supplies.

My brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews have lost so much, yet they continue to hold on to hope. They are strong, faithful people, but rebuilding and surviving in these conditions is nearly impossible without help.

This fundraiser will help repair my mother’s home, rebuild and repair my brothers’ houses, and replace essential household items and supplies. No donation is too small — and even sharing this campaign helps more than you know.
