Help the Pehlke Family rebuild from Hurricane Milton

My name is Joy Mackubin and I live in Central Florida. I am so grateful to be a safe place for my close friends, Tim and Elizabeth Pehlke to stay since their Tampa home suffered extreme damages due to Hurricane Milton.

Our friends, Tim, Elizabeth, and baby Roland need our help! They safely left Tampa to escape the threat of Hurricane Milton on Tuesday to stay with me (Joy Mackubin) in Orlando. They received word early Thursday morning that their home had sustained catastrophic hurricane damage. They are still staying with me in Orlando at this time.

They are still surveying the extent of the damage and what it will take to rebuild. But we do know that they now only have what they packed for the few days they had planned to stay in Orlando.

While this will be a long road to being restored, we know that they will need help in the following ways:

Monetary Donations:

1. Remediation, salvaging, and gutting (minimum of $15-20k)

2. Replacing necessities, i.e., clothing, toiletries, baby gear, etc. ($1-1.5K)

Non-Monetary Need: (If you are able to volunteer, please leave a message here or email Tim)

1. Volunteering to help with initial salvaging and gutting of home.

2. Storage for salvageable belongings near their home in Tampa.

3. Transportation of salvageable items to a storage location.

While they will be in need of replacing most of their home furniture and home goods, they are not able to receive or store anything at this time since they have no permanent residence. We also will not know the full cost of the loss of these items until they are further along in the remediation process.
