Help Laura Paulson transition through Blindness

Donation protected

Hi there this is Mitchel, one of Laura's two sons.

We have now entered day 12; the number of consecutive days my beautiful mother had been admitted in hospital. Laura, despite so much other adversity through the years, has undergone a Retinal Artery Occlusion in not just one but both of her eyes. The rare occurrence in both eyes has left her legally blind.

In 2014 Laura lost vision in her right eye down to roughly 10% visibility. However, Laura continued to power on through life and adversity. Laura had overcome many more challenges of the past, as you may know our family personally. However, for what seemed like a short time, she conquered on and even found success in working two new jobs plus the fun of a successful modeling career shortly after retiring from a long term career as a paralegal.

Laura has been happy for quite sometime, enjoying life and taking care of her kids as a single mother. On

July 22nd of this 2021 year, Laura faced another Retinal Artery Occlusion in her left eye. Visibility in her left eye has dropped to roughly 20% making her legally blind. The rare occurrence of a Retinal Artery Occlusion in two eyes has left Neurologist, Cardiologist, and room specialist puzzled. This is because within her long stay at the hospital, Laura has undergone many test and procedures that often result in her under sedation. The results as of now: "HEALTHY, despite the vision loss". Our professionals can not figure out why this has happened, testing everything from her brain, her heart, and her kidneys. It is currently a medical mystery in their words. However, they will continuing working to find the cause.

Unfortunately, medical recovery is no longer in the discussion. There is no medical treatment as the window of opportunity has passed and this being an artery issue not a vascular issue which is much simpler. HOWEVER, POSITIVE THINKING, THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS WILL BE WHAT LEADS TO THE SUCCESS STORY OF THIS NEW CHAPTER IN MY MOTHER'S LIFE. The best thing you can do for this family is to SHARE THIS POST and SEND POSITIVE THOUGHTS through this adversity.

Donations will help towards home modifications, in-home care takers, daily living, and of course medical bills.

Thank you sou much.
