The Patterson family has unfortunately fallen on hard times. Jeff Patterson, long time Sandusky resident and once small business owner, has recently had to close the doors of his business, Jeff's Barber Shop. Jeff was no longer able to stand and do his work due to needing hip replacement surgery. Losing the family's primary source of income was a hard blow to the family, who has recently welcomed the addition of a beautiful baby boy! While fighting to find health insurance and still meet his family's needs, Jeff was struck by another unexpected setback. Jeff suffered a duodenal tear requiring emergency surgery. Once again delaying his hip surgery. As if things were not already difficult, while in recovery from abdominal surgery, the family was hit again with unfortunate news. A lesion was found on Jeff's thyroid. It was determined that the lesion is cancerous. A course of treatment has yet to be determined and again delaying his hip surgery. All the while, Jeff has also been experiencing uncontrolled blood pressure further complicating and delaying the scheduling of his surgery. It is unknown how long Jeff will need to fully regain his health and be able to provide for the financial needs for his family. While attempting to regain his health many bills have been adding up. The Patterson family is now facing significant hardships. They are reaching out for support as they work to regain their footing during this challenging time.
