Help the Parsons' Family stabilize after a medical crisis
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my son, his wife, and their four children—an incredibly strong and loving family of six—who are facing a heartbreaking combination of life-altering challenges.
On March 25, 2025, my son suffered a stroke caused by a rare anatomical anomaly in his carotid artery. Just 44 years old and the sole provider for his family, this medical emergency turned their world upside down. On June 3, 2025, he underwent surgery to place a carotid stent to reduce the risk of future strokes. While we are grateful for his progress, he has not received full clearance to return to work and has been on unpaid medical leave since March.
His wife has been doing everything she can to keep things afloat—caring for him and their four children, managing the household, and navigating the emotional toll that comes with watching your partner fight to heal. Despite their strength, love, and faith, the bills are piling up: medical expenses, household utilities, groceries, and the everyday needs of four growing kids.
This would be more than enough for any family—but it’s only part of their story.
Shortly before the stroke, in December 2024, my son was involved in a serious car accident that totaled his truck—which was also his work vehicle. They are now relying on a single car to get six people where they need to go, including medical appointments, school, and child-related commitments.
To make matters even more difficult, this family has been managing an ongoing emergency custody situation since August 2023, which has come with its own significant legal and emotional costs. The combination of legal fees, court requirements, and the day-to-day cost of caring for four children through an uncertain time has left them stretched beyond their limits.
They are resilient. They are exhausted. They are doing everything right. They are doing their best. But the weight is just too much to carry alone.
How Your Support Will Help:
Cover basic monthly needs: rent, groceries, utilities, basic living expenses
Offset medical expenses and follow-up care after the stroke and surgery
Address costs related to the ongoing custody case
Work toward replacing their totaled vehicle
Provide emotional and financial relief during a critical recovery period
Give a devoted husband and father the time he needs to fully recover—without the crushing stress of how to provide
This is a family that shows up for each other & for the people around them. Now, we’re asking others to show up for them. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring them one step closer to stability—and to healing.
If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with them.
With gratitude and hope,
Mary Sue Lewis
