Altadena: Please Support The Parker Family

Donation protected
The Parker family has suffered unimaginable loss in the wake of the Altadena fires. For over 50 years, their home stood as the heart of their family, where cherished memories were made, milestones celebrated, and generations raised. Tragically, on January 8, 2024, the home was completely destroyed by fire, leaving Carolyn Parker and her two sons, David and Allen, with nothing but the clothes they were wearing when they fled.

This loss comes just one year after the passing of Carolyn’s husband, who poured his heart and soul into maintaining and improving the home for his family. He took pride in handling every repair and renovation himself, making the house a true reflection of his dedication and love. For the Parker family, the home wasn’t just a structure—it was a living tribute to his memory, filled with countless moments that can never be replaced.

Now displaced, Carolyn and her sons face the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch. Temporary housing has been secured for now, but the family urgently needs support to find stability and begin the process of restoring what was lost.

How You Can Help/Where Funds Will Go
The funds raised will go directly to:
  • Temporary lodging while the family works toward securing a more permanent home.
  • Essential expenses for clothing, food, and daily necessities.
  • Helping Carolyn rebuild her home and restore the space that has meant so much to their family for decades.

A Message from the Parkers
“We’ve been working hard to adjust to life without our father this past year, and our home was a place that brought us comfort and kept his memory alive. Now that it’s gone, it feels like we’ve lost a part of him all over again. But we are determined to rebuild, not just a house, but a place where we can honor his legacy and create new memories for our family.”

The Parker family has been supported by friends, family, and evacuation sites for basic necessities, but the road to recovery is long. With your help, they can move forward, rebuild their home, and begin to heal.

Every donation makes a difference. Please join us in supporting the Parker family during this incredibly challenging time. Your generosity will bring hope and stability to a family that has lost so much.

Thank you for your kindness.
