Inna Lillahi wa inna lillahi raji'oun (To God we belong and to him we shall return)

On February 19, 2026, in the afternoon hours, Allah (swt) called back one of his beautiful warriors, Haya Murad, as she lost her battle with Leukemia. Haya passed away at London's Children Hospital.

Haya and her parents, Haitham Murad and Qamar Alyafi lived and resided in London, ON and the parents are beside themselves and devastated at the loss of their little girl.

During this blessed month of Ramadan, these parents find themselves utterly broken. We are asking for our community to come together to help support this family both financially and spiritually. There is no worse loss, then that of a child.

Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Said: “Sadaqah wipes out sins like water extinguishes fire.” – [Tirmidhi] - Especially during this holy month of Ramadan when giving this charity will go to someone in our community.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated, "The best charity is that given in Ramadan". It is a time for increased generosity to gain spiritual rewards.

We ask for donations, as small as they may be, to help with funeral costs. Any help is greatly appreciated. If you can't support this cause financially, we ask that you make duaa for Sister Qamar and Brother Haitham who have been crushed by this tragedy and we ask Allah (swt) to grant them sabr.
