Help the Pallett’s repair home from severe water damage

My parents are faced with severe water damage in their bedroom, bathroom, and now down into the finished basement. This last week after my mom and dad saw some

water spots on their ceiling in bedroom, a dear friend had someone place a tarp across our roof thinking this was all coming from there. To our shock and horror, the leaking continued in the bathroom down the walls and ceilings. Now it has gotten down into their finished basement. The walls are know crumbling in the bathroom and their bedroom.

Yesterday the ceiling in the only bathroom used and their bedroom have begun collapsing. My parents slept in the kitchen last night while panicking to get everything out of their room.

More or less, it is evident that the leak has nothing to do with the roof. My dad shut the water off in the house to see if would have slowed down, it did not. It is non stop leaking. We called our Home Owner's Insurance company and were informed that they do NOT COVER this damage because it is considered an " existing condition" of our home.

We are now faced with having to repair all of this damage ourselves. The high cost of living and the hardships we all face in this current economy has bottomed us out already, just trying to survive our day-to-day lives and keep food on the table. It is with a very heavy heart that I even ask for help. My dad, Gary, has been on disability for years and is on a very limited income. This has never stopped him from helping others. My mom, Erin, works very hard to provide for the four of us. She herself has faced some health battles this year but she continues to work for all of us. My parents have always gone above and beyond to help people in need because that is just the kind of people they are. They are always opening up our home and their hearts to everyone. I would love to see some of that goodness come back to them: I don't know many people more deserving of a hand up. I ask that you please help in any way you can; even just sharing our story will help out immensely.
