Our neighbors of 28 years lost their home and beloved family dog in a tragic home fire on 6-4-26 in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The Palankers have been our neighbors for 28 years. We watched them raise their two boys, who are now young men. Tragically, their home was 100% destroyed in an unbelievable, unimaginable towering inferno that quickly engulfed their family home. 100% destruction. Sadly, they lost their beloved family dog. We can’t imagine their loss; who can unless you have been through the same tragic, life-changing event?
Imagine for a second you have seconds to leave your burning home with no shoes on your feet and watching your home burn like a towering inferno. Then you can start to imagine the reality the Palankers are now living with. In the end, we are all here to enjoy the best life we can. The Palankers are now in a living hell, and that’s where you can show compassion and generosity to help them find their way back home.
Please donate what you can. We asked neighbor / owner of the burning house yesterday as we watched the horror of the event, “What do you need right now?” He replied, “I need sneakers,” as he sat there with the socks on that got him out of the burning house. Of course, we came back a few minutes later with sneakers for him.
Please do what you can to help them through this and get them back to the everyday normal that most of us take for granted. Also, please share this with everyone, anyone, anywhere you can think of. God bless you and your family and loved ones, and God bless the Palankers!
