The Painted Lady was started on hopes and dreams. As an only parent to a 1 year old little boy, with just a small bit of savings I collected while I was pregnant, I set out to make a better life for me and my son. I started collecting furniture before i ever even had a location. Every day I told myself if I just do one thing towards this goal I will be closer than I was yesterday. I struggle to even make this profile or ask for help, especially when this time is financially difficult for so many. What I wanted from the shop was a creative space to work where like minded amazing hairstylist stand in chairs around me and we all learn and inspire each other, I had no idea I’d become a salon mom and fall in love with my people like they are my own. In this time I have done everything in my power to make sure my stylist are able to relax as much as possible and use this time to their advantage (learning, resting, organizing) not stressing and grinding like we do every other day. I have not collected rent since the day we closed. We at The Painted Lady are a rental salon, therefore, I have no employees on payroll to qualify for something like the PPP loan. I will be using this money to continue to float the rent along from The Painted Lady until we are able to go back to work. We are stage 3 so reopening our doors may be later than June 31. We would appreciate any level of generosity and more than anything I would love feeling like I’m not alone, that I still have a lifeline, our clients! In many many many situations the support of my clients has gotten me through. Sending my SOS. Thank you for reading our story and thank you in advance for any donations.
