Help The Overstreet Family

Donation protected

My name is Hope Overstreet, and my husband Jason Overstreet recently lost his full-time job as a police officer following a on the job motor vehicle accident. They got rid of him while he was still under multiple doctors care following the on the job motor vehicle accident. He still has a part time job working as a armed security officer in another jurisdiction, where his hours may be 13 hours in a two week period. He is now searching for full-time employment elsewhere but has had no luck due to his medical issues. My husband is a good man, and would do everything in his power to help other people, which is exactly why he has been a police officer for over five years, following his medical discharge from the military.

Since Jason was young he knew he wanted to make a difference in the world, and for him that started in the military. He served in the military for 7 1/2 years until he was injured during a long deployment. After his injury he continued to do his job until he was medically discharged. Following his medical discharge he had still felt like he needed to do more, but the military was no longer an option. Thats when he decided to help in his local community, and began working as a police officer and a volunteer firefighter. Jason is the type of man even off the job he always lends a helping hand to someone in need. I have never heard him tell someone no, he has always shown selflessness in his life.

More recently we had another unexpected financial burden put on us. I was traveling back to my house after picking up my daughters friend, when my vehicle was struck from behind by an uninsured motorist. This accident totaled my vehicle and left me and my daughter with injuries, which now prevents me from being able to bring our daughters to and from extra-curricular activities, doctors appointments, and wherever else we may have to go while my husband is at work or a VA appointment which is most of the time.

As much as it hurts me to admit, we are in a very bad financial bind right now and we need help to keep food on the table, a roof over our head, and the lights on. We are asking for all the help we can get, and even if it is a dollar it will help. Thank you!
