Help the Oswald’s recover from head-on car accident

Hello friends and loved ones of the Oswald’s, My name is Ashley and I am best friends with Dani. I am creating this gofundme to help raise money to lessen the financial impact this tragic event has had on the Oswald’s.

As some of you may know, Dani and her 2 children, Miles(9) and Parker (5) were seriously hurt in a head-on collision on Easter Sunday in Ava, Mo.

By the Grace of God this family has survived and they’re fighting through their injuries.

Parker’s right humerus was broken in two places, and she has a cast from her wrist to her shoulder. Her left humerus was also broken, but because she is so little, they decided to put her in a sling to allow it to heal so she didn’t have two full arm casts. She’s now able to go home.

Miles had a major concussion, a broken clavicle, fractured ribs, and severe whiplash. He has to wear a cervical collar until the ligaments and tendons repair themselves. He’s made great improvements and will hopefully be home by this weekend.

Dani has a broken femur, open fracture patella, broken foot and ankle, broken wrist and broken hip. Her bowels were perforated, and she has undergone 2-3 surgeries to repair them. She’s had seven surgeries since Sunday. We are hoping she comes off the ventilator today.

Dani is the heart of this family, if you know her she is the most amazing, warm, loving, selfless person, and as a stay at home mom, her kids depend on her care and to maintain their busy schedules. She has a very long and difficult recovery ahead of her. We expect up to 2 months in the hospital followed by rehab. Doctors say it will be a long time before she walks again.

Dani’s husband Chris is mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted watching his family suffer this awful trauma and supporting them every second along their sides. Chris has missed work to care for them in the hospital and will need to continue their full-time care once they are able to come home. Chris is a Master Plumber and has just accepted a role with a new company. Therefore, he is not yet eligible for any paid leave or extended leave time.

I am asking that you find it in your heart to offer a small donation and include the Oswald family in your prayers.

If you are near, Dani and her children are going to need help throughout this long road to recovery with their day to day needs as well.

The money raised will be needed for medical bills, home care, meals, and income supplement while Chris is away from work. No amount is too small, let’s pull together to give the Oswald’s a financial safety net.
