On August 25th, a fire tore through the Ostler home in Cornwall, Ontario. Much of the house was damaged, and smoke ruined most of their belongings. Emilie was due last week, so all the baby essentials now need to be replaced on top of the basics after a house fire. Heartbreakingly, the family dog, (Remi), didn’t survive.

We’re raising funds to cover immediate needs (safe temporary housing, clothing, food), professional cleaning/smoke remediation, and replacing baby essentials (crib, car seat, stroller, diapers, clothing, bassinet), plus an emergency cushion while insurance is processed. Insurance will eventually come through, however with the due date already having passed by the urgency requires intervention from friends and family.

How funds will be used:

• Temporary housing & essentials,

• Replacing clothing/household basics,

• Baby essentials (crib, car seat, stroller, diapers, monitor, etc.),

• Insurance deductible/fees & a cushion for unforseen expenses.

Why this matters now: The baby is due any day and they need safe space and basic supplies immediately.
