Hi, my name is Maria Orr, and I'm fundraising to help my daughter and her family after they were evacuated from their home in Lahaina, Maui on August 8, 2023. They were displaced from their home and are waiting to hear how extensive the damage is to their home, so we are trying to raise funds to meet their immediate needs.

Jessie is a chef on the island and Kayleigh works at a local resort. They are unsure when they will be able to return to their jobs. Their daughter, Harleigh, was to start 1st grade and her school has burned down. Son, Kylo, is a year and a half, and I'm sure he's wondering what is going on. They also have a puppy, Pua.

Update: Kayleigh and Jessie found out their home is still standing. The building across from them where their friends and neighbors lived, is completely gone. There is destruction all around them. Their community was destroyed. So many things to sort through to get their lives back in order.
