My best friend, Lindsey Orozco, and her husband Danny, are facing more hardship in one year than any family should ever have to endure, yet they continue to meet every challenge with strength, love, and grace. Now, after a devastating house fire, they need our help.

In the summer of 2024, Lindsey received the news no one ever wants to hear: a breast cancer diagnosis. Since then, she has been bravely fighting through treatments while trying to keep life as normal as possible for her children. Just as they were adjusting to this new reality, tragedy struck again. Around Father’s Day, Lindsey’s beloved stepdad, AJ, passed away suddenly, leaving a deep hole in their family’s heart. Only a few months later, her mom faced a frightening medical emergency and was hospitalized for several days.

Through all of this, the Orozcos remained hopeful, until today, when disaster struck again.

Their home caught fire, destroying the roof and causing extensive damage throughout the house. The family has been told they will be unable to live there for months while major cleanup and restoration take place. After a year filled with medical bills, grief, and health crises, this is a blow no family could ever prepare for.

The Orozcos now face the overwhelming challenge of repairing their home and finding temporary housing, all while Lindsey continues her battle with cancer. This family has shown strength far beyond what should ever be asked of them, and now it’s our turn to lift them up.
