Hello all…never did I think I’d have to do this. But we need you’re help. As many of you know this house was my great grandparents house back in the day. When my grandmother passed in 2003 we promised her we would keep it in our family. So we bought it. This home has been in our family since it was built in 1950. But unfortunately during this past hurricane Ida we got 16ft of water in our house and have lost everything except our clothing as our bedrooms thankfully weren’t touched. For those of you who may be wondering about flood insurance.. well when we moved here 18 years ago we were told we needed to have flood insurance in order to buy the house.. but after hurricane Irene hit they decided to “rezone” us and told us we were no longer in a flood zone. They dropped our insurance and we have not been able to find anyone else to insure us since due to the rezoning. So we definitely need any help we can get.  

I wanted to thank each and every person who has reached out through Facebook/calls/text. We appreciate all of you for offering your homes and whatever we may need. It’s going to be a long road getting back home but we’ll get there. Even if you cannot donate.. sharing will be a great help as well. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you ♥️
