Help the O’Neals recover from smoke damaged home

On June 1st while our family was out of town on vacation there was a small fire in our home. While the flame damage was minimal with only a few melted and charred areas the smoke damage is extremely bad.  Every single item in our home needs to be removed, thrown away (if it’s replaceable) and restored if it is sentimental and can be restored.If you have ever dealt with smoke damage you know how awful it is. It gets in to every crack and crevice. We are currently displaced from our home but extremely fortunate to have a place to stay.  While home owners insurance may cover some things it is unfortunately not going to cover it all and is a very complicated situation.

We are a family of four including two children. We also have a dog (Josie) a parrot and bearded dragon. The funds from this will go towards replacing mattresses, bedding, clothing, pet supplies, dumpster rental, restoration and cleaning services as well as other small items that are needed. 

This is a very big and snd stressful situation we are tasked with. We were fortunate that no one was hurt and our home is still standing. We are so grateful for the help, support and love from our family, friends and community. My husband and I work really hard to support our family and are always helping those in need and contributing to our community, now it’s time for us to ask for help. It’s a tough thing to have to do.
