Help the Oldest Bar in Asheville, NC Stick Around

Due to orders given by the state governor, in response to COVID-19, all bars were forced to close their doors on 03/17/2020. We are still unsure of when we will be allowed to reopen. All businesses considered to be used strictly as "social outlets" were the 1st to close and they will be the last to reopen. We might be closed for up to 6 months before we are allowed to resume business.
In Asheville, our busy season runs between March and September with a mild bump during "leaf season" Oct/Nov. We were just coming out of slow season when we were ordered to close. Our bartenders were just using the last of their savings during our slow winter and anticipating the higher tip percentage that spring and summer tourism brings. As of now, we can only speculate that we will have to forego our entire busy season before having to endure our slow winter season again -- with absolutely no savings.
Burger Bar is Asheville's Oldest Bar. 2020 would be the 60 Year Anniversary. We are afraid we, not only, will not be able to celebrate this event but may have to close our doors permanently if the orders stay in place for the entirety of our "busy season". We have a very small staff of 6 people. However, we treat each other as family so losing our jobs would be devastating beyond just being out of work. If we raise enough funds to cover our expenses during the shutdown and are able to reopen our doors (thus "rehiring" employees) I will give the remaining amount to the staff so they can cover their personal expenses and help carry them through our slow season.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Not only by the Burger Bar staff-family but our customer-family, as well. People that we see everyday and who we have grown to know and love. Burger Bar is "home" to many people and we are doing everything we can to keep it around for generations to come. Your help can make a world of difference to hundreds, if not thousands, of people!
