And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
Over the years, I have leaned into this verse many times as I have prayed for God’s help in my life. But this morning, I want to tell you of a friend who needs this more than me. Our friends, Don and Jan Offet were involved about two weeks ago in an accident where they were hit by an uninsured drunk driver. Their van was totaled and Don had just had his first physical therapy yesterday, as he is having trouble with his ribs and neck. Later in the day, Don, who is a realtor, was on his way to show a property to another friend from church, when he was hit head-on by yet another drunk driver, totaling the car he was driving. Don was taken to the hospital, where he spent last night and will have to have surgery on his left leg. Can you please pray for Don and his wife Jan? With all they are facing, can we ask God to supply all their needs according to the riches they have in Christ? Can we pray that their financial burden will be lifted? Can we pray that Don’s surgery will go well and that he will be restored to full health? I urge you to please pray over these things for Don and Jan, as they need the comfort of knowing God’s children are praying for them. Because of the virus, Jan wasn’t able to visit Don at the hospital, but their son Ron, was able to be with his dad, as he works for the hospital. Thank you for your prayers and support. To Don and Jan, we love you!
