The O’Brien family is facing an unimaginable tragedy.

Richie O’Brien, a loving husband and father, was struck while walking to work and suffered a severe and devastating brain injury. His condition is not expected to improve, and his family is facing the heartbreaking reality that they will soon lose him.

Richie is a proud Local 638 Steamfitter who went to work every day to provide for his family and give his wife, Ronni, and their two daughters, Kylie and Mia, the life they deserve.

Ronni has been a devoted stay-at-home mom, dedicating herself to raising their two daughters, Kylie and Mia, who are just 8 and 12 years old. Now, while caring for her children and remaining by Richie’s side through this unimaginable time, she is also facing the uncertainty of having to support her family without Richie’s income.

This fundraiser is being created to help Ronni, Kylie, and Mia with the immediate expenses they are facing and, hopefully, provide some financial security and help ease the burden of their mortgage as Ronni navigates life as a single mother.

No family should have to worry about finances while facing something this heartbreaking.
