My dear friends, the Oala-Rarua family from Papua New Guinea are a loving, humble, and hardworking family doing everything they can to create a better life for their children in Australia.

They have dreams just like many of us – to raise their kids in a safe, nurturing environment with access to education, opportunity, and stability. But right now, they’re facing a very difficult time.

The Oala- Rarua's are in the middle of a complex immigration process. While their case is progressing, they are not currently permitted to work.

They have exhausted their savings trying to support themselves and their children, and are now facing eviction, all while their eldest child is sitting Grade 12 final exams — a critical moment in his education and future.

Despite these challenges, the Oala-Rarua's remain hopeful and strong in spirit. They are not asking for luxuries — just a bit of help to get through this tough period while they await their visa outcome.

They are my dear friends and more importantly great people.
