Help the Oakley Family Rebuild After Alaska Wildfire
Donation protected
We set up this GoFundMe to support our dear friends Gregg, Caroline, and Altie Oakley. A wildfire destroyed their beloved dome home and surrounding property in Denali Borough, Alaska on June 24. As many of you know, the dome home was their happy place, and they built it over many years with their own hands. It did not have electricity or plumbing, which they loved because it allowed them to enjoy the undeniable natural beauty in true solitude. However, it also made the home uninsurable. They lost an estimated $40,000 in value, not to mention their countless hours of time and care. We are aiming to raise whatever we can to help them rebuild.
We have been lucky enough to grow close to Gregg, Caroline, and Altie the past several years while they lived in Boulder as Caroline completed her Somatic Therapy degree. The timing is extra devastating as they prepared to return to Alaska to enjoy the brief and beautiful summer season in Alaska at the dome home.
Thank you for your support of our dear friends.
With gratitude,
Nate and Sandy Parrott & Rusty and Tara From
