Help the Novotny's

Donation protected
Let's just say Trent and Ashley Novotny have been through a lot in the last few months. At 20 weeks pregnant with their 2nd child, they received the news that baby had a "brain abnormality". After further doctoring, they found out that baby had Encephalocele (sac-like protrusion of the brain that does not close completely). The baby was followed closely in the cities with multiple MRI's to monitor the protrusion. Baby Hadley was born via scheduled C-Section at 38.5 weeks on May 5th. She underwent surgery to remove the protrusion at 4 days old, which went well. After a week in the NICU, she was able to come home with her parents to meet her big brother, Watson on May 12th. She will continue to be monitored closely for any developmental concerns.
Unfortunately, their story does not end there...Trent started feeling sick on May 20th. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia on May 21st. However, on May 26th, he started feeling worse and went into the ER where he was later airlifted to Methodist Hospital with fluid around his heart. He underwent a procedure where they removed 300cc of fluid. He continues to be in the ICU with further testing being completed. It sounds like he has a long road to recovery.
