Help the "Nigerian Spiderman" get to COP29

I am Jonathan Olakunle Olanlokun, and I have had the privilege of contributing to impactful projects in Nigeria that align with the SDGs. As an advocate for sustainable development, I have dedicated myself to initiatives that address key issues such as reducing waste in the environment through the Spiderman Project which has helped people to understand their role in managing waste in the environment better, thereby making Nigeria and Africa cleaner and greener and I have organised several street cleaning and clean up activities were I have been engaging community members in cleanup initiatives, which have contributed to keeping major cities in Nigeria from waste and ensuring environmental education through advocacy.

I am excited to inform you that I have been invited to attend the COP 29 event in Baku Azerbaijan from 11th November to 22nd November 2024, a global platform for discussing and shaping the future of sustainable development. This event brings together leaders, innovators, and change-makers from around the world, offering a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and collaborate on solutions to pressing global challenges.

I believe that my participation in COP 29 will not only enhance my knowledge and skills but also bring significant benefits to our dear country and Africa. By attending, I aim to highlight the impactful environmental initiatives and accomplishments in Nigeria on a global stage, putting us on the map as a leader in sustainable development.

The COP 29 would provide me with an ideal environment to network with global leaders and organisations, fostering collaborations that can contribute to the success of future projects in our state. By attending various sessions and workshops, I will gain insights into climate and environmental best practices and innovative approaches that can be applied to enhance the effectiveness of ongoing and future climate change projects in our state.

By attending this event, I also plan to explore funding opportunities and partnerships that can further support and amplify our state's commitment to achieving the SDGs by 2030.
