Hi I am Amanda and I am a creative at heart; I have been lucky enough to have been involved in some independent film processes - I call this the learning period - but last year felt I needed to do more. So I committed to make a documentary; initially it was about the dangers of war and quest for peace. Part way through I lost my nerve - after all what do I know about making documentaries... and relabelled it short film (only it was not that short!). I then realised that the people I had interviewed, the places I had visited, the education I had experienced, they all deserved me to be brave enough to accept that my first work is a documentary. I also realised that the projects needed splitting into War and Peace. It was a steep learning curve. I had to re-learn editing, I could not afford a sound editor, and I often felt very alone in the process. That documentary is due for public release in June 2026. The project is called 'Time to Remember' and aims to educate the audience on (a brief history of) war / conflict and deliver a level of hope. I am now raising funds to help me make the second part of the story; Peace is Possible.
